Course Description

LB 010 – Introductory Life Skills
3 hours

This introductory workshop provides individuals with not only a clear understanding of the expectations and responsibilities of mature adults, but a path to design and achieve personal goals as well. Participants will gain knowledge and skills needed to become self-reliant and self-sufficient.   The course covers the following subjects:
•    Definition of success
•    Self assessment and how to design a compelling life plan
•    Identifying core beliefs and their relation to self-esteem
•    Understanding choices and accepting personal responsibility
•    Understanding the difference between victims and creators, and how to become the latter
•    Using critical thinking to recognize wise choices and dispute irrational beliefs
•    The art of visualization and its relation to inner motivation
•    Practical tools to master self management and self discipline
•    Developing self-confidence
